What is Secure Connection?
A secure connection is a connection that is encrypted by one or more security protocols to ensure the security of data flowing between two or more nodes. When a connection is not encrypted, it can be easily be intercepted by anyone with the knowledge on how to do it, or even prone to threats by malicious software and rogue and unexpected events.
Secure connections are a combination of two protocols: HTTP and SSL/TLS. The latter are cryptographic protocols that encrypt network connections. The abbreviations translate into Secure Sockets Layer and Transport Layer Security. Apart from web browsing, these protocols are used to encrypt data transfers in emails, online faxes, instant messages, and voice-over-IP.
Taken together, HTTPS means that the ‘plain text’ communication of a website is encrypted to increase security.
How can I be sure that your website uses Secure Connection during Payment Transactions?
Most Web browsers support SSL, and many websites use the protocol to obtain confidential user information, including credit card numbers. By convention, URLs that require an SSL connection start with https: instead of http:. When you look at our URL (website address) on the web browser, you will see https://www.vitsupp.com. This is the industry accepted convention of secure connection.
The certificate that is used to encrypt the connection also contains information about the identity of the website owner or organization. You can click the lock to view the identity of the website.
How SSL Works?
When a Web browser tries to connect to a website using SSL, the browser will first request the web server identify itself. This prompts the web server to send the browser a copy of the SSL Certificate. The browser checks to see if the SSL Certificate is trusted — if the SSL Certificate is trusted, then the browser sends a message to the Web server. The server then responds to the browser with a digitally signed acknowledgement to start an SSL encrypted session. This allows encrypted data to be shared between the browser and the server. You may notice that your browsing session now starts with https (and not http).
Why do I see Green Colour in my Security Status Bar on VitSupp.com?
When you visit a website that uses a secure connection, the color of the Security Status bar tells you whether the certificate is valid or not, and it displays the level of validation that was performed by the certifying organization.
The following table describes what the Security Status bar colors mean.
The certificate is out of date, not valid, or has an error. For more information see About certificate errors.
The authenticity of the certificate or certification authority that issued it cannot be verified. This might indicate a problem with the certification authority’s website.
The certificate has normal validation. This means that communication between your browser and the website is encrypted. The certification authority makes no assertion about the business practices of the website.
The certificate uses extended validation. This means that communication between your browser and website is encrypted and that the certification authority has confirmed the website is owned or operated by a business that is legally organized under the jurisdiction shown in the certificate and on the Security Status bar. The certification authority makes no assertion about the business practices of the website.

Is it risky to make online purchases on VitSupp.com using public computers and networks?
It is risky to make online purchase on any website using public computers and networks. Therefore it is not advisable to buy on VitSupp.com using such computers. If you choose to make online purchases using public access methods, here are some suggestions:
- Use private browsing. Modern web browsers permit you to visit webpages without the browser storing your web history or tracking cookies. But private browsing does not prevent other computer applications from tracking your web behavior. Nor does it prevent remote monitoring of your computer (and personal information).
- Minimize the amount of personal information submitted. Enter only as much personal information as is necessary for your purpose. Don’t save any account or log-in information to the computer.
- Be wary of public wi-fi networks. Anyone may view the information you submit via open public networks because these networks generally do not encrypt information and the networks are accessible to anyone. You should only visit fully encrypted websites.
